The final meeting of the project was held in AINIA on the 11th and 12th November 2014.

The latest results were presented and discussed, and also were the business plan and next steps for development. The training to the participant SMEs regarding the technology characteristics and possibilities took place as part of the meeting as well.

The project partner Fraunhofer IPMS will present the AD-WISE project and held a networking event to bring together industry and research in the field of anaerobic digestion.

This event will take place in the facilities of Fraunhofer IPMS at Dresden (Germany). The programme can be downloaded here.

The project coordinator AINIA organised a workshop in which the AD-WISE project was presented. The prototype for on-line VFA measurement and decision support system, installed in the biogas plant of the partner GSR was visited by the attendants in the afternoon. The objective of the technical visits was to show the AD-WISE prototype installed in the full scale biogas plant of the partner Granja San Ramón (GSR) to the potential end-users and customers.

35 persons attended the technical visits, of different professional profiles:
- Wastewater engineering companies
- Biogas plant managers
- Consultants in the field of wastewater treatment
- Agro-food companies interested in installing a biogas plant
- Waste treatment engineering companies
- Biogas plant constructors
- Researchers

The technical visit raised big interest among the attendants about the AD-WISE system. Some of the companies (especially the wastewater and biogas related companies) were interested in
testing the equipment in their facilities, or even in buying the equipment when commercially ready. The research and academic sector is a potential user of the AD-WISE system as well; an on-line, real-time measurement of VFA profile would allow to have a deeper insight of the process and to perform more advanced experiments than the current possibilities.

The visits had two main parts:
1) Explanation of the biogas plant by GSR.
2) Explanation of the software applications that manage the measurements of VFA profile and the recommendations to the operator to modify the feed.
3) Explanation of the hardware part of the prototype

This project meeting took place in the facilities of Granja San Ramón in Requena and also in AINIA.

In this meeting, the main issue was the final step of validation in the full-scale agro-industrial biogas plant of Granja San Ramón.

The partners of AD-WISE visited a biogas plant located near the facilities of IPMS Fraunhofer in Dresden (Germany).

The visit allowed the partners to have a deeper insight of the processes that take place in the biogas plants and the instrumentation needs as perceived by biogas plant operators.

The partners of AD-WISE project met in Dresden (Germany) to discuss the latest advances of the project and to take decissions about the next steps, mainly related to the pilot plant validation of the prototype.

The AD-WISE partners visited the biogas plant of Aravete Agro in Aravete (Estonia).

The visit allowed the partners to have another first-hand experience on the needs of biogas plants regarding control and automation techniques.

All partners of AD-WISE met in Tartu (Estonia) to discuss project advances, next steps and first thoughts on business plans after the project.

The AD-WISE partners visited the biogas plant of Granja San Ramón in Requena (Valencia) where the validation activities are going to take place.

The first approach to the validation set-up was discussed on-site.

The first actions and responsibilities were defined to get the project started.
